Eagle Legend

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 24 October 2026

What's changed and why

  • We've moved off Blogger. The site now runs on Cloudflare Pages, so Blogger no longer hosts it.
  • Every game here is made by us. No games come from other websites, so no other game companies get your data through our site.
  • We now show adverts on our web pages, but not inside the games. The adverts come from Google. We've asked Google not to use what you do online to choose them, and to treat every visitor with its extra protections for children.
  • We ask before any advert cookies are used. In the UK and Europe, a Google message asks you first. If you say no, the games work just the same. You can change your answer at any time with "Privacy and cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.
  • Visit counting. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies and shows us only totals. You can switch it off with "Count my visits".
  • No logins, your saves stay on your device, and no buying or paying for anything inside our games. Saves, best scores, "recently played" and settings are kept on your own device and are never sent to us. A new "Clear my saves on this device" button deletes them.

The short version (for younger players)

This policy explains how Eagle Legend LTD ("we", "us") handles personal data when you use eaglelegend.com (the "Site"), our arcade of original HTML5 games. We follow the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018, and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).

1. Who we are

Eagle Legend LTD is the data controller for the Site. We are a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17512456.

We are a small company and haven't appointed a Data Protection Officer, because the law doesn't require one for us. Richie Legend, our Director, deals with privacy questions.

2. What we collect and why

WhatWhere it comes fromWhy we use itLawful basisHow long
Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, the time, and the referring pageYour browser sends it automatically to our host, Cloudflare, every time a page or game loadsTo deliver the Site and keep it secure, for example to stop attacks and abuseLegitimate interests (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)): running a safe, working websiteKept by Cloudflare under its own retention rules (section 8). We don't keep our own server logs
Visit statistics: the page visited, the referring site, the browser, operating system and device type, the country (worked out from your IP address), and page-load timingsThe Cloudflare Web Analytics script on our pagesTo see which pages and games people enjoy and how fast pages load, so we can improve the SiteLegitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)). Under PECR, the statistical-purposes exception, and you can object at any time (section 7)Cloudflare keeps the detailed data for 7 days, then only reduced totals. We see totals for up to 6 months and never individual visitors
Advertising data: your IP address, browser and device details, the page you're on, a rough location (such as town or region, worked out from your IP address), and cookie or device identifiers used to limit how often an advert is shown, count advert views and clicks, and spot fraudGoogle's advertising code on our web pages (section 5), only after you agree in the consent message where the law requires itTo show adverts that pay for the Site, chosen from the page's content rather than from your interestsConsent (PECR reg. 6; UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), given in Google's consent message. Google also relies on its own lawful bases for its own uses, as explained in its privacy policySet by Google (section 4 lists the cookies we know of and how long they last). We never receive this data ourselves; we only see totals in our AdSense reports
Emails you send us: your email address and whatever you writeYouTo reply, and to deal with licensing enquiries, complaints, advert reports or other reportsLegitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)). For licensing deals: steps before a contract (Art. 6(1)(b))About 2 years for business emails. For licensing deals, contract records are kept for 6 years after the contract ends

We don't collect special category data, such as health information. The health-themed games don't send anything you do in them to us. We don't make automated decisions about you, we don't build profiles of you, and we've asked Google not to use your data to personalise the adverts on our Site (section 5). We don't sell or rent personal data.

3. Data stored only on your device

Our games run on the Site itself (on eaglelegend.com). They use your browser's local storage on your device. Everything in this section stays on your device and is never sent to us or to Google. We can't see it and we don't keep a copy.

What we storeWhyWhy we don't ask first
Game saves and progress, such as levels reached, unlocked items and your best score in each game (best scores use keys like eagle-best-<game>)So a game you started remembers where you got toIt's strictly necessary to give you what you asked for: a game that keeps your progress (PECR's "strictly necessary" exception)
Whether you've already seen a game's "how to play" tips (for example tidepin3-onboarded)So the tips don't keep popping upIt's part of the game working the way you've chosen. Clearing your saves (below) resets it
Recently played (el-recent): a short list of the last few games you started on this device, with when you last played each oneSo the home page can show you quick links back to themThis isn't strictly necessary, so we treat it as a setting that adapts the Site to you (PECR's "appearance and functionality" exception). That means we tell you about it here and give you a simple way to say no: the "Remember recently played" switch below
Your choices on this page, such as "Count my visits" off (el-stats-off) or "Remember recently played" off (el-recent-off)So the Site remembers what you choseNeeded to respect your choice

About "recently played":

Remember recently played: ON

"Clear my saves on this device"

You can also delete everything by clearing your browser's site data for eaglelegend.com. Some browsers, especially in private or incognito mode, delete it on their own.

From the old site: if you visited the old Blogger site, your browser may still hold some old items, such as a cookie that remembered your cookie choice (el_consent), Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _gid), or old local-storage items (eagle_player_id, favourites, XP). The new Site doesn't read or use any of these. They'll expire, or you can delete them by clearing your browser's data for eaglelegend.com.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

We don't set any cookies of our own. The cookies on the Site come from Google, which provides the adverts and the consent message. Where the law requires it, Google's advert cookies are only used after you agree.

Google's advert code also contacts adtrafficquality.google, a Google service that checks adverts for fraud and quality.

Google and the other advertising companies it works with may use more cookies or similar technologies than we can list here, and their names can change. Google explains them in How Google uses cookies. If you refuse in the consent message, Google's advert cookies aren't used for adverts on our Site.

5. Adverts (Google AdSense)

Our web pages show adverts from Google AdSense. Adverts appear around our pages, never inside the games themselves.

Google's role. When a page with adverts loads, your browser connects to Google, which receives information such as your IP address, the page you're on and your browser details. Google, and the advertising companies it works with under the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework, are independent controllers of the data they collect through their advertising cookies and identifiers. They decide how to use it, under their own privacy policies. We never receive it.

Non-personalised adverts only. We've set the Site to ask Google for non-personalised adverts only. That means Google chooses adverts using the page you're on and your rough location (such as your town or region), not your browsing history or interests. Even so, non-personalised adverts still use cookies or similar technologies to limit how often you see the same advert, count views and clicks, and spot fraud. That's why we still ask for your consent first (section 6).

Protections for children. Many of our players are children, so we also tell Google to apply its child treatment to every advert request on the Site. Google says this switches off personalised adverts and remarketing, stops advert requests to other advertising companies' measurement tools, and applies its own protections for children. We've also blocked advert types that aren't suitable for a family audience, including gambling, alcohol, dating, sexual content, weight loss, cosmetic procedures, and food and drink. Google's systems do their best to block them, but they can't promise to catch every advert.

If you see an advert that worries you, or that you think isn't right for children, please email us at support@eaglelegend.com and tell us what it showed and which page it was on. We'll block it if we can. You can also report it to Google using the advert's own "i" or "X" menu.

Clicking an advert takes you to the advertiser's own website, which has its own privacy policy. We aren't responsible for it.

6. Your choices: the consent message and "Privacy and cookie settings"

In the UK, the EEA and Switzerland, the first time you visit, Google's consent message (part of Google's Privacy & messaging, a consent tool certified under the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework) asks whether you agree to cookies and similar technologies being used for adverts.

Visitors elsewhere (for example in the United States) may not see the consent message, because Google shows it where the law requires it. We still ask Google for non-personalised adverts with child treatment for every visitor, and you can manage Google adverts at Google's ad settings or block cookies in your browser.

7. Visit counting (Cloudflare Web Analytics)

To find out which pages and games are popular and how quickly pages load, our pages (not the games themselves) load a small script from Cloudflare, called Cloudflare Web Analytics. It's separate from the adverts, and your answer in Google's consent message doesn't change it.

What it does: when a page has loaded, the script reads the page's loading times from your browser. It then sends those times to Cloudflare, together with the address of the page and the page you came from. Like any web request, this also passes on your IP address and browser details. Cloudflare turns all this into totals, such as "Tidepin was played 200 times this week" or "most visitors use phones".

What it doesn't do:

Why we don't ask for consent, and why you can still say no: the law on device storage and access (PECR) lets a website collect visit statistics without asking first, as long as it's only to improve the site, it explains clearly what happens, and it gives you a simple way to object. Because the script reads information from your browser (the loading times), we treat it as covered by that rule. That's why we give you this switch:

Count my visits: ON

You can read more in Cloudflare's Web Analytics privacy information and Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

8. Who we share data with

We only share personal data with:

Our games come from our own Site, and we don't embed games from other websites.

Our shop at store.eaglelegend.com is run by Fourthwall, which is the merchant of record. Fourthwall's own privacy policy covers anything you give the shop, such as orders, payments or addresses. We only see what we need from Fourthwall to fulfil and support orders.

Links to our social media pages (X, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn) are plain links. Nothing from those sites loads on our pages unless you click through to them.

9. International transfers

Cloudflare and Google run worldwide networks, so data may be handled outside the UK, including in the United States.

You can check both companies on the official list at dataprivacyframework.gov/list.

10. Children

We design the Site with children in mind and apply the ICO's Children's Code to everyone, so we don't ask anyone's age. In practice:

We don't knowingly collect personal data from children. If a child has emailed us and you'd like that email deleted, please tell us.

11. Your rights

You have the right to:

Email us (section 1) to use any of these. We'll reply within one month. If a request is complex, we can take up to two more months, and we'll tell you why. We hold almost nothing that can identify you, so we may ask for details that help us find any data, such as the date and time of your visit. Data kept only in your browser is under your control, and you can view or delete it yourself ("Clear my saves on this device", section 3). For the advertising data Google holds, you can also contact Google directly, using the details in Google's Privacy Policy.

12. Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first by emailing us or writing to us (section 1). We'll acknowledge your complaint within 30 days, look into it, and tell you the outcome without undue delay. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.

13. Changes to this policy

We'll post any update here with a new "Last updated" date and a short "What's changed and why" list at the top. If we ever plan something new, such as personalised adverts, accounts or a different kind of analytics, we'll update this policy before it starts, and we'll ask for your consent where the law requires it.
